SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - There’s another planned road closure to inform you about in Sheboygan, this time affecting traffic on Washington Avenue.
City of Sheboygan Engineer Ryan Sazama says work is being done on a sidewalk gap project. "It’s the sidewalk on Washington Avenue between South 18th Street and South Business Drive. We’re putting a sidewalk just on the north side of the road."
The project will result in thru traffic being closed on Washington between the two streets during daytime hours, includes the closing of the turn lanes from South Business onto Washington.
The project will not close access to homes and businesses along this stretch of roads, including the WHBL studios.
The project is expected to be completed by early October.
Also, new sidewalks are being put in along Washington Avenue between South 9th Street and Lakeshore Drive, and on Lakeshore north along Lake View Park.
