TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN FALLS, WI (WHBL) - It was a busy evening for a number of Sheboygan County fire departments as they battled a barn fire near Sheboygan Falls.

The initial call came into Sheboygan County Dispatch around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday at W3453 County Road C in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.  Eleven fire departments provided resources, and medical services were provided by Orange Cross and the towns of Sheboygan Falls and Wilson.

Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Chief Bob Kroeplien tells WHBL News a foam concentrate helped to keep the barn from becoming a total loss.  The worst of the damage was to the back of the barn, but the front was left intact.

As for the animals, Kroeplien says all got out of the barn without injuries before crews arrived.

He adds a cause for the fire may not be determined, and also thanks all fire crews who came to assist and were not hurt battling the blaze.

Aiding the Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department with the call were the departments from Ada, Adell, Cascade, Cedar Grove, Greenbush, Howards Grove, Johnsonville, Plymouth, Silver Creek, and Waldo.
