Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) - 18-year-old Kenneth M. Burnett-York faces two counts of second-degree child sexual assault in Sheboygan County Court, for alleged sexual encounters with a 13-year-old girl.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Sheboygan County court on Monday, August 3, Sheboygan police were contacted on Monday, July 27 by the girl’s 31-year-old brother after he learned about the sexual encounters.

When interviewed by police, the child claims that she met Burnett-York on the Fourth of July at North Beach, and the two began chatting on Facebook thereafter. It is in one of those Facebook exchanges (days later) that Sheboygan police allege Burnett-York solicited the girl for sex, and they agreed to meet up at Workers Park, on N. Water St.

Police allege that Burnett-York also went to the girl’s home for sex the next morning, after her brother and his wife left for work.

When police caught up with Burnett-York he admitted to having a Facebook account but denied both knowing, and having sexual contact with the girl.

Investigators subsequently executed a search warrant to obtain Burnett-York’s DNA for possible evidence in this case. If convicted he could face up to 40 years in prison and fines of up to $100,000.
