SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A plea deal has been reached in the sexual assault case of former Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan, avoiding a jury trial which was set to begin Tuesday. Ryan has confirmed for WHBL News that his lawyer has reached an agreement in which Ryan will plead guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct. Other than that, Ryan said he will make no public comment until after his sentencing hearing at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Ryan had been charged with misdemeanor sexual assault for a drunken binge in Elkhart Lake in July of 2011 in which he allegedly grabbed a woman’s breasts. District Attorney Joe DeCecco confirmed the plea deal, saying Ryan had pled to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, which carry a maximum fine of $1000 and 90 days in jail each.
