SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Two Sheboygan men, 18 year olds Gilberto Gonzalez the Third and Julio Hernandez, are facing disorderly conduct charges for being involved in a fight Sunday evening.
According to the criminal complaint, Sheboygan Police were called to investigate a disturbance around Superior Avenue and North Tenth Street. There they found a 19 year old male who had suffered cuts to his lips that required stitches. He claimed he was jumped by a group of Hispanic males after he and others got involved with that same group earlier at Superior Liquor.
Several people with the victim said they were planning to just have a verbal exchange with the group at Superior and North Tenth, but once the other group arrived they began beating up the victim before leaving.
Police did interview Gonzalez and Hernandez, but both claimed they were elsewhere when the disturbance occurred.
That changed when one person interviewed by police identified the two as being involved in the incident, attacking the victim with multiple punches and kicks.
Arrest records from the Sheboygan Police Department show around a half dozen people were given disorderly conduct citations for their alleged role in the incident. So far, only Gonzalez and Hernandez are the only two criminally charged for the incident.
