
SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man was the one responsible for a series of accidents that injured two people early Saturday morning in Sheboygan. Nohl Depies faces an OWI causing injury felony for his alleged actions on North 9th Street June 27.
The criminal complaint states a witness noticed a vehicle that Depies is accused of driving strike a tree on North 9th Street. The vehicle tried to back up into the tree before driving away and nearly hitting several other vehicles.
Another witness described seeing the same vehicle drive through a stop sign at the intersection of North 9th and Geele Avenue and struck another vehicle. Depies suffered fractures to his face. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as a 55-year-old woman, suffered a broken sternum.
The criminal complaint continues on saying Depies told an EMS crew member he had approximately six drinks before the accident. When interviewed by a Sheboygan Police officer, Depies allegedly said he had four beers at a private party before leaving.
Depies faces up to six years in prison if found guilty.
The criminal complaint adds Depies had two previous OWI offenses. One was in 2009, and the other is 2011.
