SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Back in 2011, the Sheboygan Area School District began a strategic plan process to create long term goals to achieve over a period of several years.
Most, if not all of the goals first created, were achieved. But now the time has come to update the plan for the years 2016 through 2020.
Superintendent Joe Sheehan tells WHBL News that like before, the hope is to get as many different types of people involved as possible. "We’re going to be asking community members, business people, higher education, alumni, and present students of what did we do well, what are we doing well, what can we do more of to best prepare you, and what are some things we should stop doing."
Sheehan also hopes like the previous plan, there will be a wide array of goals, all based on what district residents told them the district should be doing. "Some had to do with getting students out into the community in internships; that’s what actually business and parents and students all told us."
Plan meetings will be held in August, and Sheehan says anyone with questions should contact him.
