TOWN OF HOLLAND, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan County Dairy Promotion Association will hold their annual Breakfast on the Farm this Saturday at the Stan and Wendy Lammers Farm on County Road A west of Oostburg.
Wendy Lammers, who is also the association’s president, says people who come can enjoy a self-guided tour of the farm, education stations and, of course, breakfast. "It’s a huge breakfast, which is consisted of eggs and cheese, dairy products, cottage cheese," says Lammers.
What will be different from recent years is that the host farm is the smallest the association has had in recent memory. Typically, a farm that hosts will have a herd size in the hundreds, because they have the sheds to handle the large crowds. The Lammers farm had the shelter, but a herd size of around 40.
"The idea of it is like ‘we can do a small farm, we can find somebody that would be willing,’ and they said that’d be different, totally different, something new," says Lammers.
