SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Unemployment rates took a sharp decline in the area last month.
The state Department of Workforce Development says Sheboygan County’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.5-percent in April, a drop of nine-tenths of a percent from March. The City of Sheboygan’s rate also dropped to 3.8-percent last month, down one-percent from the previous month.
The rate changes come despite a decline of five-hundred jobs in the Sheboygan metro area in April.
Similar unemployment drops were seen across Wisconsin in every county, metro area, and the state’s major cities.
