
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County had a strong April for home sales.
The latest data from the Wisconsin Realtors Association shows 132 homes were sold in April when compared to the same month in 2014. That is an increase of 21 units, or nearly 19-percent. The median price for the sold homes is also up 2.7-percent from last year, from $114,900 to $117,950.
The strong April helped to put Sheboygan County home sales numbers just over where they were at this time last year. So far in 2015, 357 units have been sold, one more than through the first four months of 2014. Homes prices are also up five-and-a-half percent compared to this time last year, from $110,000 to $116,000
Despite all the good news last month, Sheboygan County still remains below the state average for growth in home sales and prices. For April, the statewide increase in home sales was nearly 17-percent, with the median price increasing 10.7-percent. So far in 2015, home sales are up 10.4-percent, with the median price up nearly eight-percent.
