SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The jury trial for a Sheboygan man charged for killing his father last year is still on schedule.
19 year old Dorian Torres was back in court Monday for a motion hearing. The main issue brought up by defense attorney Raj Singh is whether the initial entry into Dorian’s apartment by Sheboygan Police classifies as an official search. Judge Terence Bourke will decide on the matter and other defense motions by early June. A week long jury trial is still scheduled to begin June 22.
Torres is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for the death of his father, Emilio, in January of 2014. Sheboygan Police found Emilio’s body at the apartment that he and Dorian shared while investigating concerns brought up by Emilio’s ex-wife regarding Emilio’s whereabouts.
