SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan woman has been sentenced to a year in the state prison for trying to protect a suspect in a fatal shooting which occurred in the city of Sheboygan last summer. 18 year old Lydia Smith was sentenced recently by Judge L. Edward Stengel on a charge of aiding a felon and was given credit for the nearly three months that she spent in the county jail. Smith was in the apartment where Ronnie Polk shot and killed his half-brother, Brandon Davis, last June. She attempted to clean up blood from the shooting and hid the gun that was used. Polk was arrested in Milwaukee a couple of days after the shooting and was sentenced in November to two years in prison.
