SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A trial for a Sheboygan man charged with possessing child pornography has been delayed several months.
Thomas Wirth was scheduled to have a two day trial starting Wednesday. However, a defense request to review a doctor’s report and schedule conflicts has moved the trial dates to July 21 and 22.
The 42 year old Wirth is alleged to have child porn images on his computer, which he told law enforcement he had to help him cope with his past abuse as a child. Wirth has pled not guilty by reason of mental disease/defect to the ten counts he faces.
