Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan Police Chief Chris Domagalski Tells WHBL News that there is no funding available to equip local police officers with body cameras.
As a result, the chief says there are no plans on the table, or discussions currently being held about their use. This comes amid ongoing cases playing out nationwide that appear to either expose policing problems, or exonerate police (when accused of bad behavior).
According to the Sheboygan Police Department’s 2014, Annual Police report, there were five citizen complaints filed against SPD - the results of which were either unfounded, or were not sustained.
There is no indication that the complaints allege abuse by law enforcement officers, and the nature of those complaints is unclear.
