SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man faces a child abuse charge for allegedly hurting his son over the past few years. Fifty year old Joseph Dreps faces an intentional physical abuse of a child felony.
According to the criminal complaint, Sheboygan Police were called to his apartment March 26th in the 1700 block of Kentucky Avenue to investigate a disturbance. Dreps’ 11 year old son told officers his father pushed him into a glass door and the ground, struck his head and jumped on him, causing cuts and bruises. The son also told police his father would beat him up when mad, which has occurred at least five times a month within the past three years.
Police say Dreps was uncooperative when they interviewed him, and said nothing had occurred.
Dreps made his initial court appearance March 27th.
