Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan Firefighters spent hours dousing hotspots following a fire that broke out in the Indian Meadows mobile home park Monday evening. The fire broke out just before 5pm, and the home was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived.
An adjacent mobile home also sustained damage when that trailer’s siding and porch caught fire.
According to a press release issued by Battalion Chief Gary Kolberg of the Sheboygan Fire Department, a female resident of the home on Cheyenne Trail sustained 1st, and 2nd degree burns. The chief also says the victim’s two pet cats died in blaze.
Battalion Chief Kolberg says the home was a total loss, and Firefighters remained on scene to extinguish smoldering areas throughout the inside and exterior of the structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
