Shboygan, WI (WHBL/KFIZ) - State Senator Devin LeMahieu is pleased to see a bill he co-authored to raise the speed limit to 70 miles per hour on some state highways moving its way through the legislature. The bill got bi-partisan support when it passed in the State Assembly and now moves on to the Senate. The state lawmaker from Oostburg says most people drive between 74 to 76 miles per hour on 65 mile per hour highways already. He says a 70 mile per hour limit would level out those speeds and he argues would be safer.
