SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - One person has been arrested, and another charged for a theft of copper wire from Polyfab.

The theft of 70 to 75-thousand dollars worth of wire occurred March 10th at a construction site at the manufacturer. Law enforcement used footprints and a jacket left at the crime scene to track down the wire at a home near Greenbush and identify the two suspects.

One of the suspects, 21 year old Steven J Robinson Jr. of Plymouth, was arrested and made an initial jail appearance Thursday.  Online court records show the other suspect, 40 year old Shawn Labine of Glenbeulah, has also been charged but has not been taken into custody.  Both face burglary and criminal damage to property felonies.

According to the criminal complaint, Robinson told law enforcement he and Labine were able to drive into the site through a door covered by a tarp.  The two then took the wire and left.
