TOWN OF WILSON, WI (WHBL) - A group opposed to a new golf course in the Town of Wilson, Friends of the Black River Forest, is getting legal help in their fight. They hired a lawyer last fall to help them keep up to date with development of the Kohler-proposed golf course on tented forest land near Lake Michigan.
Speaking for the group, Mary Faydash says it was needed based on their interpretation of documents regarding the D-N-R’s role in the project. "It kind of paints a picture of an agency which is trying to figure out how to get Kohler what he wants," says Faydash.
So far, the Kohler Company has released an economic analysis to show what would happen if the golf course was built.
Faydash says the next needed step will be for Kohler Company to conduct an environmental impact report.
