SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County saw jobs and unemployment grow to start 2015.

Numbers from the Department of Workforce Development show the Sheboygan metro area gained 600 seasonally-adjusted jobs in January.  The metro area also saw 1,400 more jobs over the past 12 months.

However, unemployment rates grew half-a-percent in the City of Sheboygan to 4.6-percent that month. Sheboygan County’s unemployment rate also grew 0.6-percent in January to 4.3-percent.

In fact, every major city, metro area, and county saw an unemployment rate increase to start 2015. The only exception was the state of Wisconsin as a whole, whose rate fell two-tenths-of-a-percent to 5-percent even.
