SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - 15-year-old Emily Shelby is helping to educate people about Tourettes syndrome.

Emily was diagnosed with Tourettes when she was in the fifth grade, and it affects her physically.  "Arm jerking, sniffing, huffing, whole body movement, clenching," says Shelby

Last year Emily became a Tourette Syndrome Association Youth Ambassador, which has included advocating on Capitol Hill and making presentations around the state.  "When we go into the schools, it’s a presentation for learning, but there’s also a little bit of anti-bullying in there also," says Shelby.

Emily plans to return to Washington D.C. next month to train another group of ambassadors, and will continue to talk to anyone who wants to learn more about Tourettes.
