SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Shoreline Metro has not seen much of a drop this winter in ridership.
Sheboygan Director of Transit and Parking Derek Muench points to several reasons. One is who typically rides the bus. "The demographic that’s using our fixed route is really, I would say they’re able bodied individuals. They can get out," says Muench. Also credited is an overall warmer winter than last winter.
Muench does admit snow and cold will impact services and deter riders from venturing out. "There is a little bit of a trend, but also coupled with the fact that we’ve been growing anyways plays a bigger factor," says Muench.
