SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Students at Wilson Elementary School in Sheboygan got an extra day off Monday due to a nearby water main break.
Sheboygan Water Utility Superintendent Joe Trueblood said the initial call came in around 2:30 Monday morning of water coming up onto the street. Crews found a water lead had broken to a fire hydrant in that area. Water utility crews were at the scene for about eight hours and no additional damage took place.
As of now, the Sheboygan Area School District expects classes to resume at Wilson Elementary on Tuesday.
