Sheboygan, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County District Attorney Joe DeCecco is speaking out about sex crimes against children.
This comes as DeCecco is preparing to try former District 4 Alderman, Kevin Matichek on felony, sexual abuse of a child charges.
The District Attorney tells WHBL news that,”Any case involving an under-aged child is egregious. You know these types of activities, while a person - thirteen, fourteen, or fifteen may think they are emotionally prepared for some sexual acts, or to make sound decisions they think they make, they are really not prepared for it. It does affect them for the rest of their lives, as it’s been shown in other prosecutions we’ve done.”
Kevin Matichek is accused of developing a sexual relationship with a then fourteen year old boy last June, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Sheboygan Police Department on Friday, February 6, 2015.
