SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Kevin Matichek has been bound over for trial. Defense attorney Casey Hoff entered a not guilty plea for the former Sheboygan alderman Wednesday.
During a preliminary hearing, Sheboygan Police Detective Tamara Remington said Matichek began a dating relationship with a then 14 year old boy back in June. "(The victim) stated that almost immediately, shortly after June 3, 2014, it became a sexual relationship," said Remington.
Remington detailed over a half dozen sexual encounters between Matichek and the victim over an eight month period. She also said the victim was given gifts from Matichek in the form of electronics and clothing and got driven to various places.
Remington also described what the victim was told from Matichek to do if people asked. "To deny any touching, sexual contact, deny any photographing, recording, anything like that," said Remington.
No future court date was set. Sheboygan Police continue to investigate to find possible other victims.
