SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Another local resident is facing child pornography possession charges. 42 year old Thomas Wirth of Sheboygan faces ten felony charges for having pictures of children ages 2 through 9 performing sexual acts on a computer he owns.
According to the criminal complaint, the Sheboygan Police Department became aware of the images last month when a computer technician noticed them while working on the computer. Police interviewed Wirth, who said he has searched for images of children being sexually exploited as a way to heal from being abused as a child.
Wirth made his initial jail appearance Wednesday and will have his preliminary hearing next week.
