TOWN OF LYNDON, WI (WHBL) - Two people had to be air lifted for medical treatment after a two vehicle accident north of Waldo just before 8 o'clock Tuesday morning.

Sheboygan Sheriff’s Captain Cory Roeseler says a Toyota Prius, driven by 33-year-old Damien Payne of Port Washington, failed to stop at the intersection of Highways 28 and 57, causing a semi driven by 57-year-old Donald Lunger of Brookville, Pennsylvania, to strike it.

Payen and a passenger, 25-year-old Dustin Lecher of Adell, were flown to hospitals in Green Bay and Neenah for treatment.   Lunger was uninjured.

The accident caused the closure of Highway 57 for several hours.

An investigation is ongoing by the sheriff’s department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
