CASCADE, WI (WHBL) - Firefighters in Sheboygan County were tested by the cold Monday with a significant house fire in Cascade
The fire took place on the 500 block of Madison Avenue, with the initial call coming in just before 10 a.m. of smoke filling up the house. Close to a dozen fire departments were called to the scene over the next several hours to provide equipment and man power.
The fire did cause power to be cut off to most of the village for a time Monday, but most has since been restored. Also, traffic along Highway 28 was detoured in the village to allow fire crews the most room possible to battle the fire.
