SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan Sheriff’s deputies had to use spike strips Tuesday to bring a high speed car chase that started in Ozaukee County to an end. There are reports that speeds topped one-hundred miles per hour on I-43.
Sergeant Blaine Spicer tells WHBL News the chase started when the driver failed to stop for driving erratically. "They did spike three of the vehicle’s tires, but it continued to travel northbound into Sheboygan County. One of our deputies was able to get behind it and performed a precision mobilization technique, or PIT maneuver, on the vehicle, at which point it was stopped," Spicer said.
Spicer says charges are pending against the female driver.
