SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - One of the candidates running for Joe Leibham’s state Senate seat says not having past political experience is an advantage for her campaign.
Speaking on WHBL's Sheboygan’s Morning News Tuesday, Democrat Martha Laning says she was asked to run last year based on her business background and after she headed the creation of the Generations center in Plymouth.
Laning says if elected, she will bring a fresh perspective and work in a bipartisan manner to balance the state budget and grow the economy through better jobs. She says there are great Republican and Democrats would can work beautifully together when not in a political environment. She hopes she can bring them together to come up with laws and policies that benefit all Wisconsinites.
Laning faces Republican Devin LeMahieu in the November 4 election.
