SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan County supervisors got a sneak peak at the 2015 county budget Tuesday night.

County Administrator Adam Payne says the $125 million budget will have an increase in the tax levy of over half a million dollars, the maximum allowed by state law thanks to net new constructions in the county.  He says this was necessary to ensure the county continued to maintain and improve core essential services such as law enforcement, health and human services, and the county's transportation system.

This higher levy will increase the tax rate by four cents to $5.64 per thousand of equalized property value.

The budget will be formally introduced next Tuesday when a public hearing is scheduled.  It is expected to be approved on November 4.
