SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A former volunteer fire fighter will continue to face arson charges in Sheboygan County Court. 22 year old Jacob Ausloos was found mentally competent following a hearing Thursday before Judge Angela Sutkiewicz. The New Holstein man is facing two felony arson charges for allegedly setting fire to St. Paul’s Christian Church and a barn in the Town of Russell in early August. The criminal complaint states Ausloos told authorities he set the church fire because he did not like it, and the barn fire because he was bored. He remains in custody. A new preliminary hearing date was set for next week.
