SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The unemployment rates in the Sheboygan area went down last month. The latest figures from the Department of Workforce Development put the city rate at 6.6 percent - down from 7.2 in September, and the county rate at 5.4 percent - down from 5.9 percent. Both rates are below the statewide average of 6.9 percent. The report also shows the Sheboygan area gained 100 jobs last month, but still has 600 fewer jobs than last October.
