SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man is facing a felony charge of fleeing from an officer for a police chase which occurred on Tuesday afternoon. 31 year old Timothy Reimer was formally charged Friday. Authorities said he had allegedly left a Sheboygan gas station without paying for two cartons of cigarettes. Later, a Sheboygan County deputy spotted his car in the city of Sheboygan Falls. That led to a chase, which would cover 19 miles and reach speeds of up to 95 miles an hour on I-43 until Reimer pulled over in the Cedar Grove area. According to the criminal complaint, Reimer may have stopped because of a female passenger, who was screaming for him to stop as the chase progressed. Reimer is now facing up to 3 years in prison if convicted.
