PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - The Plymouth Senior Center won’t be able to serve alcohol. The City Council Wednesday night failed to override the mayoral veto of an earlier council action, which granted a liquor license for the Senior Center. Mayor Donald Pohlman said the vote was 4 to 4, two votes short of the 6 to 2 voted needed to override. The Plymouth Inter-Generational Coalition wanted to serve alcohol at weddings and reunions to bring in revenue. The facility is open to people of all ages - not just seniors. It has an adult community center, a day care facility and kindergarten classrooms.
