SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Three people are trying to replace Steve Kestell as the Republican on the ballot for the 27th Assembly seat this fall. One of them is Darryl Carlson, a former Marine, hospitality worker and member of the Sheboygan City Council.
On Sheboygan’s Morning News Thursday, he said all his past life experiences make him a well rounded individual suited for state office, capable of dealing with the various issues that will have to be decided. If elected to the Assembly, Carlson says his first focus will be to improve workforce development programs to fill job openings currently available. Also, a focus of his will be to make sure the state is a welcoming place for families to move into and live.
Carlson faces Jackie Jarvis and Tyler Vorpagel in the August 12th primary. The winner faces Democrat Scott Heinig in the November 4th general election.
