SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - It’s Congress or bust for Joe Leibham of Sheboygan.  He is one of four Republicans running in a primary next week to win the right to replace Tom Petri as the state’s 6th District House member.

Leibham chose Congress over running for another term as an area state senator after Petri announced his retirement back in April, saying it was the best position for him to be in.

If elected, Leibham says he will use both his private sector and state legislature experience to address issues such as constitutional rights, growing the economy, and getting the federal budget under control.

Leibham faces Tom Denow, state senator Glenn Grothman, and state assemblyman Duey Stroebel in the August 12th primary.  The winner faces Democrat and Winnebago County Executive Mark Harris in November.
