SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man who was apprehended by a good Samaritan after snatching a woman’s purse last April has been sentenced to prison on charges of robbery with use of force. 28 year old David Reichartz Jr. had knocked the woman to the ground at the Save a Lot food store on North 8th Street and fled, but 55 year old Nicholas Salm was passing by and witnessed the theft. He followed Reichartz and tackled him as he went through the purse in a nearby yard. Reichartz also snatched a purse from a woman at Beans Tavern on North 12th Street several days earlier. He was sentenced this week in Sheboygan County Court to 5 years in prison to be followed by 6 years on extended supervision.
