SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Festival Foods has become a major sponsor of the Fourth of July fireworks display in the city of Sheboygan. The city council Monday night voted to accept Festival’s donation of $40,000 per year over the next three years. Director of Planning and Development Chad Pelishek told the aldermen that the city will be receiving about $100,000 per year from the various contributors including Johnsonville Foods and Community Bank and Trust which have also upped their contributions this year. He said the entire Fourth of July celebration that the city puts on is not funded by city tax dollars. It is funded through the sponsorships and room tax revenue.
