SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Those out celebrating tonight are being reminded to think twice about getting behind the wheel after drinking.  New Year's Day is one of the deadliest times on roadways across the country.  Jack Peet with Triple-A Wisconsin says about 100 people die every day on roads across the nation, but on New Years' eve, that number jumps to 400.  Peet says people react to alcohol differently and may think they're ok to drive after they drink.  Sgt. Jim Gottsacker with the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department says they're ready for a busy night, and encourages people to be responsible.  He says they want everyone to enjoy themselves, but not to take anything to excess, and drive safely.  Police agencies around the state will be cracking down on drunk drivers tonight and tomorrow morning with extra officers out on the roads.
