SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan police are warning people - especially women - to be vigilant when visiting a pharmacy in the wake of two recent strong-arm robberies or purse snatchings. Lt. Kurt Brasser said the second incident in three days occurred about six o'clock Monday night at the Aurora Pharmacy on Superior Avenue. A 50 year old woman was knocked to the ground by a man wearing a ski mask, who grabbed her purse and fled on foot. The woman sustained a head laceration and was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released. The incident is similar to one that occurred early Saturday at Walgreens on North 14th Street when a man knocked a 48 year old woman down and took her purse. Brasser urged women to carry their purses tight to their body and wear a shoulder strap, always park in a well lit area near the door, and don’t go alone, if possible. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans and black work boot style shoes.
